Soumen Barik

Hi, I’m Soumen Barik, a postdoctoral research fellow in University of Münster. Completed my PhD in December 2026 at the Department of Organic Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. My doctoral research was focuses on developing innovative methodologies using asymmetric N-Heterocyclic carbene catalysis to synthesize atroposelective molecules also control over heteroatom stereogenic centers​. In postdoc my research mostly focused on photoredox catalysis.
